From June 30th to July 3rd, the XL Biennial Meeting of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) took place in Bilbao (Spain). Filippo Scarchilli, PhD student in our group under the supervision of Prof. Miquel Costas and Dr. Massimo Bietti, presented his work on "Chemoselective oxygenation at C(sp3)-H over C=C bonds guided by polarity enhancement", which was recognized (again) with a Best Poster award from the Symposium 1 dedicated to Advances in Synthetic Organic Methodology. Congratulations Filippo!

From our group, Dr. Carles Fuertes-Espinosa delivered an Oral Communication "Light-driven molecular motors within confined spaces" and Dr. Arnau Call and David Capellán presented their research as a flash communication on "Stereoselective g-lactonization at non-activated primary and secondary C-H bonds" and "A versatile, readily available and bench stable iron catalyst active in carbene transfer reactions" respectively. Christos Cristou, Neus Pagès, Eric Aparicio, Judith Sala, Piyush Singhal and Dr. Marco Galeotti presented a poster.
