Margarida Borrell receives the Research Lilly Award for PhD Students

Margarida Borrell, PhD student in our group under the supervision of Dr. Miquel Costas, was awarded with a Research Lilly Award given by the international pharmaceutical company Lilly and the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ). These awards recognize the research excellence of PhD student in organic, analytical and pharmaceutical chemistry and they intend to strengthen the interaction between industry and academia. Margarida was one of the winners othis 19th edition, together with Eva Rivera and Soraya Learte (University of Santiago de Compostela). Margarida's research is focused in the study of the selective hydroxylation of aliphatic C-H bonds and syn-dihydroxylation of olefins.

As one of the winners, Margarida will receive an economic prize of 1500€ and will be presenting an invited lecture in a the RSEQ Symposium 2021 (September 27th). Congratulations Margarida!
