Laia Vicens participates in Girona's advertising campaing on the occasion of the "International Day of Women and Girls in Science"

Laia Vicens, postdoc in our group under the supervision of Prof. Miquel Costas, was one of the researchers who took part in the exposition organized by the Girona's Town Hall and the University of Girona to commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

This campaing, entitled "Our neighbours, our researchers" show the image of eleven researchers living in Girona who work in different areas of research in the University of Girona. The objective of the exposition is to increase the visibility of women who are dedicated to research and advancing knowledge, and to realize that researchers are people you can find everyday in the city, walking and living life like anyone else.

Laia also participated in the "STEAM, betting on the future", organized by the Ajuntament de Girona, adressed to high-school students from Girona. Laia explained briefly the research she is doing in our group and a little bit of her academic and scientific trajectory.
