On April 20th, a scientifric symposium was celebrated in occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC), in which our group belongs. This symposium counted with the participation of former members of the Institute, including some of our alumni.

In the first session of the day, Dr. Joan Serrano-Plana (currently associate editor in Nature Communications) delivered a talk entitled "From the lab bench to scientific publishing". In the second session, in which Dr. Arnau Call (current postdoc in the group) acted as chairman, Dr. Isaac Garcia-Bosch (Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, United States) presented the research done in his group on "Copper-promoted functionalization of organic molecules: structure, spectroscopy and mechanism". In the last session, which was moderated by Dr. Mercè Canta (former PhD student in the group), Dr. Zoel Codolà (currently in Esteve Química) presented the research done in industry in his talk on "Implementing new technologies in the pharmaceutical industry". Dr. Alicia Casitas (Phillips-Universität Marburg, Germany) closed the session presenting her scientific career in a lecture entitled "A personal journey through sustainable catalysis with first-row transition metals".
