From February 25th to February 27th, the XIV Spanish-Italian Symposium on Organic Chemistry (SISOC-2024) took place in Tornio (Italy). Filippo Scarchilli, PhD student in our group under the supervision of Prof. Miquel Costas and Dr. Massimo Bietti, presented a poster showing his research on Highly Selective C-H oxygenation at remote methylenic sites enabled by Polarity Enhancement, which was recognized with the Best Poster award. Congratulations Filippo!
From our group, Andrea Palone (who also presented his work on enantioselective hydroxylation at unactivated tertiary C-H bonds) and Miquel Costas (who delivered a lecture on "Minimailstic Models of Oxotransferases as Catalysts for Site and Enantioselective Oxidation of Strong C-H Bonds") also participated in the conference.
